A Team Dedicated to
Chances and Change

We are Lori Wetzel and Shelle Grego, with over 30 years of combined experience in the substance abuse and mental health fields. We focus on our client, the whole person, never judging, and always believing that the answers our clients seek lie within themselves. We are relentless in overcoming challenges and always collaborate, because together we can bring a more enduring solution. We stay connected to our clients and encourage their better, stronger selves.

We can join an individual at any part of their journey- beginning, middle, or end. At Visualize Change we believe that every person with an addiction has the inner strength to change provided the treatment is right for them. The staff is dedicated to helping individuals achieve long term recovery and stability in order to live a productive and satisfying life. However, it is the individual, not the agency, that determines the end result. We provide tools through therapy and self-discovery that teach the individual how to live without the crutch of addictive substances.

We emphasize choices, chances and change. Through counseling, the addicted individuals learn how to tap their own inner strength as well as outside support to help them achieve their fullest potential. Our purpose is to provide an atmosphere encouraging change and growth for individuals and families and foster the strengths our clients possess to facilitate coping with life’s challenges.

Lori A. Wetzel

MS, LPC, NCC, CCMHC

Lori A. Wetzel has been working in the Mental Health field for two decades. She’s been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2016, a National Certified Counselor since 2013 and recently acquired the credentials of Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor. Lori says “All of that means nothing if you don’t treat the client with respect and dignity and help them reach their goals.”

While being centered in a Cognitive Behavioral modality, Lori believes that an eclectic approach to treatment is the best. “You have to do what works for the client, to bring out the best in them and help them reach their goals,” she believes. For this reason she uses a variety of modalities such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy to name a few. She also believes in a humanistic approach, which means there is a relationship between the counselor and client that is based on authenticity, congruence, and unconditional positive regard.

Lori grew up in this area and knows a desperate need exists for mental health and drug and alcohol services. She takes great pleasure in providing those services while making people feel comfortable. Lori is currently being trained in EMDR as well, and hopes to help trauma clients in the very near future.

Lori received her Undergraduate Degree in Psychology from Kutztown University of PA, and her Master’s Degree from Capella University. In her spare time she enjoys photographing Bald Eagles, hiking, and playing with her dogs.

Shelle Grego

BSW

Shelle Grego has been working in the Mental Health field for over two decades, advocating for those with mental health and substance abuse diagnoses. She has a Bachelor’s in Social Work and Psychology from Bloomsburg University. Her professional goals include providing direct services, education, support, and advocacy for clients and their families or significant others; and meeting the individual needs of the clients and their families with respect, confidentiality, and dignity. She strives to maintain high standards of professional practice that lead to the highest quality of care. She focuses on Person Centered Treatment to meet the specific needs of the client. “My vision is one of physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing for everyone seeking recovery and support,” says Shelle.
